Zolal Salimi

Zolal Salimi has a bachelor in English language and literature from Balkh University. As an Afghan girl, she always wanted to serve for people specially the women of her community since she was in school till now. Generally, she started to work voluntarily for Afghan women´s rights since 2017 when she was at Balkh province. Firstly, she started from her university community. She raised the voice of Afghan female students against the people who annoyed them in parts of sexual harassment, bad behaviors and their all problems; therefore, she became a member of Gender Organization of Balkh University. After that, she participated at Mawlana International Model United Nations as a Delegate of Zabul province in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan. Also, she studied three-month Promote Women´s Leadership Development (WLD) in Mazar-e-Sharif and she used to guide women to lead, fight, and stand against injustice. She got the second position in public speaking between 400 people in the northern zone and she had voluntarily cooperation in programs with some organizations such as ANLO and CCNG. Zolal Salimi was attended twice as women´s right activist at National Peace & Youth Consultative Conference in ARG and Loya Gerga in Kabul. In Faryab province, she made some awareness programs about the prohibition of violence against women in villages of Faryab by cooperation of the Faryab Human Rights Commission. At the same time, she was one of the member of Balkh Peace Builders Organization. All her efforts and works for her society was going on until the dark days of 2021, the day that Afghanistan conquered by Taliban and she lives in Germany since 2022. For now, Zolal Salimi has an online educational center by the name of ZEC, and she teaches English and German languages online for free and voluntarily to the Afghan women.
